Race Car:
Performance racing applications require high-quality, precision cut tubing kits to aid in the building of race car chassis and tubing accessories. Unrestricted geometry of the tubing kits allow designers to create unique solutions which would otherwise be near impossible to produce accurately by hand fitting and notching. Tubing kits allow builders to rely less on extensive tooling and jigging and allows them to focus on achieving a high quality welding job. Using extremely accurate notched and bent tubing to build also allows welders to minimize the amount of consumables and time needed to weld. We will provide a set of tubes that are notched and bent so that they are ready to weld out of the box.
Formula SAE / Mini Baja SAE Competitors:
Cartesian Tube has been working for University teams to create notched tubing kits for the chassis and tubular accessories of SAE vehicles. SAE teams send us their design in a 3D cad format and we extract and convert each part to create a kit (See Resources section for details). The profiled tube kits save many hours of tedious and frustrating manual labour or skilled labour with extensive tooling, fitting and notching tubes one at a time. This allows the builder to concentrate on achieving a quality welding job in a clean quiet shop where progress is steady. These kits cover only basic material and manufacture costs and are intended to be excellent value for these educational projects.
